There was a slight tinge of smoke in the air this morning. Leftover smell of the fire the boys set last night in the back yard. The humidity is quickly rising, pocketing that smell, keeping it contained at its source, and....yes, it's gone. There is no smell of fire reaching the front porch where I sit.
They were permitted to start a fire. They were also permitted to light it and enjoy it with their friends while we were not at home. They're big enough for that now, and it just occurred to me that they didn't ask for something with which to ignite it.
They are resourceful as well.
